Ørsted plays a crucial role in the global energy transition, and more specifically in helping the industry in the Scheldt Delta region to become more sustainable. Offshore wind energy is a very important source of green energy for industry so that business processes can be electrified.

The Scheldt Delta region is home to several promising clean hydrogen projects, including Ørsted's SeaH2Land. The SeaH2Land project (a consortium of Ørsted, Gasunie, ArcelorMittal, Yara, Dow Benelux and Zeeland Refinery) concerns the realization of a 1 GW electrolyser for a sustainable green hydrogen plant. The electrolyser will be connected to a new offshore wind farm that is also part of this project.
